How Operation Intern Works:

Build a qualified workforce!

Internships provide a valuable way for students to make connections with businesses and identify career options in North Dakota. Operation Intern is designed to expand the number of internship, work experience and apprenticeship positions with North Dakota employers in selected targeted industries: energy, advanced manufacturing, value-added agriculture, tourism and technology-based businesses.

For the 2011-13 biennium Governor Dalrymple and the ND Legislature awarded the Operation Intern program $900,000 of funding. Employers can access up to $6,000 of matching funds for each student. The maximum amount of matching funds an employer can receive per biennium is $30,000.
